how the night runs
The evening step by step

Choosing your showing
The River Carnival runs twice on every open night — 6:30pm and 8:30pm — and the park's own suggested itinerary treats them as mirror images of each other: whichever showing you pick, dinner happens on the other side of it, either before or after.
Arriving at the gates
The park asks guests to arrive at least ninety minutes ahead of their parade time. On a transfer ticket, that window is set by your pickup; on a self-drive visit, it gives you time to park and walk in before Carnival Fun Fair gets busy.
Dinner at the Bird of Paradise
Dinner is served in the 3,000-seat Bird of Paradise hall, a buffet mixing oriental and western dishes with Indian, vegetarian and Halal options. On the 8:30pm parade, this comes first, 6:00pm–7:00pm; on the 6:30pm parade, it follows, 7:15pm–8:15pm.
Finding your seat at the Paradium
The River Carnival Parade seating sits in an area the park calls the Paradium. Standard admission includes a Paradium seat; the Royal Seat upgrade moves you to the centre for the best view of the parade.
The parade itself
Over 150 performers and a further 150 crew work the production, with costumed figures up to eight metres tall moving down a stage that runs past seventy metres wide.
Walking the lights afterwards
Once the parade ends, the evening moves into the Kingdom of Lights and the walking zones around it — Festivity Square, Forest, Garden and Valley of Lights — before the park closes at 11:30pm.
